To the Mother that I Am

There are days when you just want to hide and let the pain fall down your cheeks.
Remember that it is okay to be weak at times.

I know life has been tough and there are days when life gets tougher.
Keep in mind that you are stronger than you think.

Sometimes you think that this is not the route you wished for yourself.
Do not forget that God hears you and knows what’s best.

Look at
that little face that lights up upon seeing you;
that precious smile that takes your stress away;
that sweet lips that has the power to wipe your fears;
those tiny feet that run to you, reminding you that someone depends on you; and
those small hands that reaches for your embrace.

Then you will be reminded that though life is not perfect, you are blessed with everything you need to live to the fullest. Even if your world shatters and your heart breaks, to his embrace– that is where you need to go.

It is that little child, that delicate soul, whose arms are wrapped around yours while whispering: “I love you, Mama” is the one God sent for you to love forever- someone to fight for, to give hope, to help you see it through the hardest of days, to share with your happiest moments, and to remind you that you are loved dearly; you are not alone.

So if given a chance, by some great miracle, to choose to re-live your life, go through the road that will lead you to this little one. No matter what.

A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world. John 16:21
